Fallout 1.5: Resurrection

20.06.2016 English release coming this July

Resurrection has been fully translated into English, and we have begun testing. We want to spend a month testing the English version and tweaking some final details so you can enjoy the game in a polished state. The English version will therefore be released on Friday, July 15, 2016. The game will be completely translated and patched to version 1.4, including all the fixes released so far, and even some new ones. Just like for our past releases, everything necessary will be included with the installer – you’ll only need to have Fallout 2 installed.

Now I want to give a shout-out to all the translators and proofreaders who took part in the translation. Given the huge number of texts, they did an enormous amount of work – all in their spare time, for free. Thank you! If you want to get an idea of just how much text there is in the game, take a look at this previous article Resurrection Quantified.

19.05.2016 Resurrection on Mod DB

We've added a profile for Resurrection to the popular site Mod DB, in order to spread the word about our mod to players that might not have heard about it yet. Just like here on our site, you can find all the essential information about the mod there. You can see the profile here; registered users can also comment on the mod and rate it.

As for the translation and proofreading, both are nearing their respective ends, so in the next update we'll announce the release date of the English version, which by that time will be only a few weeks away.

06.03.2016 A bit of info about the translation progress

Only a small update today, to keep you in the loop about the progress of the translation. I know that we are taking our time with the Resurrection translation, but I hope that the wait will be worth it in the end. We are working as much as our scarce free time allows.

So here’s where we are: The goal of finishing the actual translation before the end of January was not met, though we now only have a few texts left to be translated – specifically from the final game location. Proofreading continues, and to accelerate it, we have recruited a new proofreader Benjamin Tyrer, whom I’d like to hereby welcome to our team.

So there isn’t much new to report for now, but that will hopefully change in the near future.
